I bought a few new things for next year. I was at Walgreen's and they had 75% off everything. I noticed some lights on the top shelf. One was a set of three lighted gifts. I couldn't resist....and can't wait to see the look on my hubby, Rick's face when he notices them. I just stuck them in with our other outdoor decorations. LOL They were only $5.00...who could resist? I still want one more inflatable, too. I am seeing them but don't want to push my luck!I bought a few other things, too...but it's for the inside and he has nothing to do with that.

I found my spiral tree for all my train ornaments. I also picked up a retro Tinsel tree with color wheel and some real pretty blue glass ornaments . Of course 2 cases of rope lights and a new tree skirt.

I haven't got any yet and I'm definitely not planning yet. I plan to just keep a look out throughout the year for good deals. They usually don't start showing until around August. Everytime I go to a store right after Christmas, they're usually always cleaned out anyway.

I ended up spending 311.00 this year in after christmas sales and saved a whopping 520.00!!! that is good considering I got some at 25% off, 50%off and some at 75% off. Mostly 75% off though. Not bad at all. Not as much as usual but enough to get hubby to say bah hum bug in October.:c17:

I toyed with the idea of a musical tree for the front porch, but we're going to be the new neighbors and I don't want to wear out our welcome the first year.

I didn't buy anythng exciting. I did find a place to order some 6 volt clear mini replacment bulbs for my novelty cluster candle lights for my tree, and I needed some 12 volt for my novelty red birds, which they didn't have. So I did order some 12 V from Acehardwareoutlet.com. I hope they work, esp since the shipping was outrageous.
I am going to have to store them someplace where I will remember where they are next year!!!!LOL

I've been meaning to make a couple of big lit up Xmas trees to set on garage.
Maybe I will get to them this summer.

Wow Hollybow those are too cute.
I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone has picked up any new decorations this year. I have a load of new hallmark ornaments and yard decorations.
I am looking at a large snow making machine like the ones they use on TV sets and movie sets. I think snow would look good on my yard.:c52:

I got a cute countdown clock from HSN and it is counting down the days till I start decorating which means all my painting needs to be done by then. I only have five weeks left to get it done.
I got a snowing snowman too. He is too cute. I have lots of new decorations but my favorite has to be the horse and carriage going in my front yard. I love it.http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa5/19sammy72/gif_1934.gif

I bought a couple door stops, snowman and gingerbread man. I just bought a snowman climbing on a rope, a santa climbing a ladder and a santa dangling from a string of lights for off my roof. Those should come in the mail any day next week and you probably have guessed I will be watching my mail very closely until the do come.
