I know this is funny to some but I truly am addicted to Christmas. I love everything about the holiday season.
I love to celebrate the Birthday of Jesus. He is the reason for the season after all. I always start the season with a Birthday Cake for Jesus. The reason I got into the decorating was to have a Nativity scene.
But I am addicted to Christmas for other reasons too. Everything that is special is all wrapped in a nice package and they call it the Christmas Season.
I love Santa Claus and all he stands for. The giving, loving, caring gentle old man that thinks of every child and grown up in the world. His resounding attributes are of nothing other than being pure, honest, moral, and of loving one another.
Of course their is the lights too. I love to put lights every where and try new things with them. Like controling them with the computer. I love to decorate and change everything in the house. When the house is too small to put everything out then you can use your yard.
I love that families all come together whenever it is possible. Everyone is nice to each other and go out of their way to help others. Keeping Christmas in my heart all year is like eating candy to a child.
Are you addicted to Christmas?

Like you, I am too am addicted to his wonderful season - the birth of Jesus gives a sad world new hope and joy. I love the music, whether it is Away in the Manager sung by the babies at the Sunday School Christmas program or Morman Tabernacle singing the Hallelujah Chorus. The love and camaraderie of family and friends by a beautiful tree, a warm fireplace in a room lit with the glow of candles is one of life's wonderful pleasures. I look forward to and anticipate each and every Christmas season. Simply put, the wonderful smells, sights and sounds are simply glorious.

Of course I am. I couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't be. Everything is just a little bit nicer around that time... everyone is just a little bit cheerier... food just tastes a little bit better... the holiday season (which starts on November 1st) for me is wonderful, but I also love the whole month of October leading up to Halloween and also late September... I love football games, hayrides, and bonfires.

I don't really do Christmas in July very much, but in mid August, after a few days of 100+ temperatures, I start thinking of Halloween and looking for bargains on Ebay, especially retro stuff. Then in September I put out the fall stuff and on the first day of fall I put out the Halloween decorations. I like everything that has been said so far on this. The innocence of Christmas is wonderful. There is nothing bad or "adult" about it, unless greed creeps in.

You all are really getting me in the Spirit!! I love Christmas, too...I think none of us would be here if we didn't! haha
I dont' go all out to shop in July, but I do play Christmas tunes in the summer - it gets me all warm and fuzzy inside to think that the holidays are coming soon!
October is the start of my holiday "feelings". Temps start to lower and people start to use their fireplaces...the tea lights and candles come out in the evening...it's just sooo nice!

me too its a magical time of the year all the children excited and waiting for santa to arrive and the lights and decorations twinkling the films and everyone seems to come together and put differences aside. Searching for the perfect present for that special someone. I'm sat here now with longing for that special time of year

I'm addicted to the "warm & fuzzy feeling" that Christmas is to me. I know that our Christmas events won't be picture postcard perfect but I've learned if you don't stress about things and plan ahead, things can be "not perfect" and still be perfectly fine!
Being in the ER at midnight with a one year old when we should have been in bed waiting for Santa really opened my eyes to the fact that not everyone is at home with their family like we've been all our lives for Christmas. We live not more than 45 minutes from our families and don't realized how blessed we are.
If everyone would remember that "Christmas Eve" feeling that they have on Christmas Eve and try to have that feeling all year long, the world would be a better place!

I guess I'm not addicted too Christmas, but addicted to the memories and "warm fuzzy feelings" that I get from those memories.
When we spent the wee hours of Christmas morning in the ER with a sick one year old instead of being in bed waiting for Santa, I truly realized how blessed we are to be at home with family on Christmas every year. Lots of people aren't.
If everyone kept the "warm fuzzy" feeling every day, all year long, the world would be a better place!
