I am reading a Weight Watchers book called

Weight Loss that Lasts
Break Thru the 10 Big Diet Myths
It is authored by James M. Rippe, M.D. and Weight Watchers.

I bought this book at a yard sale a few weeks back for 50 cents. Its only 3 years old so I thought what the heck? I might get some insight.

So today as I was reading it I found this paragraph and I wanted to share it with you guys. It really hit me as being one of the most powerful statements concerning weight loss that I have heard in sometime. It cuts to the chase. It also reminded me that in the end, we all have to make our own choices.

Have you ever heard...

"Losing weight is just a matter of getting real with yourself"

While it is important to face the realities in your life, you also have to find approaches for dealing with an environment that is filled with food temptations and reasons to avoid physical activity.

That book must have been written for me. I'll have to get that. Thanks for sharing. :c13:
