I thought I would start a thread about some of our favorite cookout recipes. Anything from marinades to potato salads. What are your cookout favorites?
I have a rib marinade that my husband and I had to figure out from scratch because he couldn't remember the exact recipe, it's really good.
Fred's Rib Marinade
3 cups of soy sauce
2 cups of brown sugar
1 large or 2 small onions chopped up
2 lemons cut into quarters
1 and 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of lemon juice
Mix the soy sauce and brown sugar together. Add in the chopped onions. Add in the lemons, squeezing slightly over the marinade to activate the lemons before dropping them into the mixture. Add the water and the lemon juice and mix well. Once everything is all mixed together put your ribs into a large seal able container and pour the mixture over it. Cover it up and let marinade over night. Cook on the grill and enjoy!
