Our 2009 resolution will be a life long one and that is to keep the weight off. Speaking of which my total loss is now 42 lbs. I biked 17 miles yesterday. I had to increase because the 10 miles was getting to easy. I went in that mid-day Florida sun. I must have been nuts.

You are right, next year we have to keep on keeping it off!!
Good for you! You have done really well! I am still jealous, my poor bike has cobwebs growing on it. We just don't have any place around here to bike during the summer.

HolyNight...You def are the gal with riding in this Florida heat and humidity. I guess I whimp out because I am so much about comfort and not suffering. You and Sonny would get along fine. Lol..:74:

I don't know what the heat is in Florida, but keep up the good work and I'm with you in spirit. The hubby threw my bike away, it was in such bad shape. Plus I don't know when the Dr. will let me start exercising. Now that the incision has opened and started bleeding. But I see the Dr. Monday afternoon. The sooner I can start exercising (besides walking) the better I'll feel. I've lost about 10 pounds since the surgery. I need to lose at least 40 more.967878

Luckily my scales are already dropping fast from the overeating I did at Christmas. Lots of fluid retention I am sure. But I know I am now 10-15 pounds from goal so that is my New Years Resolution, to get that off and maybe a few extra leeway pounds. And my goal date is Feb. 12th.

Sounds like good resolutions and goals everyone. I set one last year and it didn't hold too well for me near the middle of the year and certainly the end of this year I gained instead of lost. I did not meet my goal of '08 but I'm not discouraged. I will be more diligent beginning tomorrow when I will do my official Jan 1st weigh-in.
Good success to us all.

My resolution is to get the whole family eating healthier this year ............we are always on the go and fall into the trap of it being more convenient to just grab something out.........or when we are at the ballpark just getting something there...........well NO MORE ..............putting my foot down!!! We are going to all eat better!!

Gonna get myself weighed on Monday. I know I've put on weight though. Will stock up on fruit & veg, but the price of that is meant to go up because the poor exchange rate between the £ and the euro

My hubbie and I started on losing weight 1 week after last
christmas and to date we have lost 37lbs each just by eating
healthy and having smaller portions.
We both feel great and having to buy new clothes.84394528439452
