THURSDAY 8 AM IN LIGHT OF THE 06Z GFS EAST COAST HURRICANE THREAT IN TWO WEEKS, A LOOK AT WINTER
Shades of 2000-2001?
The analogs of El Nino winter, La Nina winter, then neutral enso for the following winter (This is a theory I have on cyclical pulsing of the overall global weather pattern) and the ending of a La Nina followed by a neutral winter give us some very interesting ideas on the upcoming start of winter into the midpoint. The idea of a moderate to warm November carries weight here now in studying this, a break from what should be a wet August-October in much of the nation. It is as if there is a relaxation in the pulse before winter comes. But I am thinking from later November through January, though I am not sure yet about exact timing, there is some tough sledding on the way with the coldest December/January period since 2000-2001 for the East and plains. The fact, that the European computer model is showing the fear I have gives us some objective model guidance here, so while not ready for a slalom run into a cold winter, at least for December and January, I am waxing my skis.

hopefully this is correct :)
I'll get to try out my new 4x4
