I apologize if this has been posted, I did a search, but couldn't find it. Anyway, I came across this set, today, while at Sam's Club. I almost passed it up, as I thought this was simply another re-re-re-release of the Rankin & Bass Christmas classics that I have on DVD in one way or another, but checked the packaging more closely and gald I did! This set includes three Christmas specials on DVD for the first time! Here's how this set breaks down:
Disc One:
-Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Deluxe Edition)
-The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold
-Pinocchio's Christmas
-The Stingiest Man In Town
Disc Two:
-The Year Without A Santa Claus (Deluxe Edition)
-Rudolph's Shiny New Year
-Nestor, The Long-Eared Donkey
Disc Three:
-Frosty's Winter Wonderland
-'Twas the Night Before Christmas
Disc Four:
-Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas In July
The deluxe editions have all the bonus features that were originally included, so this makes for a really nice set, if you don't have any or might have the original releases. I found this at Sam's Club for under $23 and it's listed online at some stores for close to $40.

What surprised me was the three specials, The Leprechauns' Gold, Pinocchio's Christmas and The Stingiest Man In Town. I thought all three of these were brand new to DVD, but maybe they were out, last year. Now, if they'd just release; The Life & Adventures of Santa and The First Christmas Snow or whatever that special is called.

I love the first christmas snow! Well I bought this set last night at target, it was 29.99...I remember seeing it last year too, I just thought it was the old classics that I had already had...I want to get Jack Frost, but I'm going to wait another week or so.

CB said she pointed it out to me, last week, but I didn't pay any attention, glad I did, Friday. I don't know how I missed these three titles were coming to DVD, but glad I didn't ignore the set, because it looked like I had them all. I mean, if you look at the artwork, they don't show anything from the three new releases, just the characters from classics I already owned!

Yep, I never even looked at that set, always passed right by...I actually don't have the Grinch cartoon on DVD (just vhs), so instead of buying that on cd, now I have a whole set! I'm excited and I'll watch it tomorrow when my husband goes back to work lol

What's nice is, they've included the deluxe editions for, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Year Without A Santa Claus...both have some nice bonus features, especially, the Grinch. Enjoy!

I just opened mine! can't wait to watch it!!!! I know my son is going to go crazy...He's really into all the animated classics (frosty and roudolph etc)...He wants to watch them ALL time (I talked him into watching monsters INC yesterday because he's been watching the same 3 things for weeks now lol)...So this will give him something new to watch...I also picked up the Garfield Holiday Celebrations for 5.50 at target...I Know I have this movie, but I can't find it anywhere...I wonder if someone stole it? LOL I figured it's only 5.50, if I find my other i'll give one away.

We were gone today so he didn't have time....I'm thinking that since it's Halloween week that i'm going to stop the christmas movies till Halloween is over and force him to watch our Halloween DVD's...SO I probably won't watch it till next week....Knowing me though, I probably won't be able to stop myself.

LOL I often wonder if it isn't a good thing I don't have children, just because I'd probably bore them to tears with my viewing habits.

LOL...I say, start 'em young! Last year, while we were on our annual fishing trip to Canada, it was my youngest niece's first year, there. I took my portable DVD player and several DVDs....one being, Santa and the Three Bears. I popped it in one afternoon, when I was staying with her, so her folks could fish and she was absolutely mesmerized by it. My youngest brother has really introduced her to the classics, which I love. Last year, she sang along to, Dominick the Christmas Donkey!
