What's the one special gift you are giving to a family member this year. Mine is a family portrait for my mom's Christmas present.

My husband and I decided our kids are old enough to have a hand held video game system. So Christmas isn't much this year for them. They both are getting Gamboy Advance SP's and 1 game each. Nothing for my husband, or me, since he is in Iraq.

I am hoping our gift will be a family portrait of Tom and myself and our doggie daughter Mollie. I am trying to schedule a very casual shoot for Thanksgiving weekend. I dont want a studio portrait because thats not us. I am working on getting something done outside. This not only will mean alot to my family but to me too because we really dont have anything of us to display in our own home.

home made ornaments. That is what I give every year, by the order of my family members. Now I just have to figure out what to make this year.

Well, I'm giving Mom the photo album, which I'm excited about and hope she enjoys it, too. I went and ordered CB a scroll saw, something she's been wanting for ages and I hope she's as excited about it as I am, for finally getting it!

I have no idea about this year. It's normal fro me to not buy the presents until late, but what has me behind this year is I don't even know what to buy.
My daughter has asked for nothing at all. Which usually means she will end up with jewelry just because I don't know what to get her. Her sister did mention wanting a guitar, but I know once her guitar class is over she will never play it again so I hate to spend the money on one. My sister just did potraits for my dads birthday so it seems silly to get those again. I am really lost this year. Hopefully reading some of your guys plans will help me think of something. So keep posting the gifts.

My gf has always wanted a pair of UGGS boots so I ordered some.
Not too sure what to get the parents or others yet.

This year I'm getting Ed a hand carved statue of a red tailed hawk that he has admired for a while. For my step sister who travels frequently, I have a nice gift, but I'm really looking forward to her reaction to the luggage tags I also found for her. They say "I (heart) baggage handlers." I hope she gets a good laugh out of those.

Well I got the kids a wii (but it's more of a family gift)...I don't usually spend that much on one thing, and I don't think they know they are getting it, so it's going to be special...I bought my MIL a neat frame with 6 little stick figure kids on it, and it says something like "cousins are best friends", and i'm going to get a black and white picture of all the grandkids holding hands this summer and put it in the frame (there are 6 grandkids, so it was perfect, 4 girls and 2 boys), so I knew I had to get that frame...I have a hard time shopping for my Inlaws...I'm not sure what i'm going to get my mom or my husband...No one really needs anything.
