I still have some marsmallow creme and I will probably have to use that up pretty soon. It doesn't store for long.
I have some choc. chips left over and some flavored chips that I have no idea what to do with. My husband picked up some wierd flavors, I think they are cherry or something.
I have cheese log and lots of veggies left. Crackers. Some oysters in the freezer.
Hopefully, we will clean this up by Sunday night.

I have given away almost everything that was made, but I still have ingredients that I am going to have to use up and I am sick of sweets. I made Paula Deen's recipe for Peanut butter fudge that used one jar of my marsmallow creme up. And I wrapped it in saran wrap, then in foil and put it in a tin in my freezer.
On the website 'Candy 101' or something similar, it gave a chart for how long candies and what candies can be frozen. (Don't mix your candies in the same freezer container) Fudges can be frozen 12 months if wrapped well. then before serving - thaw an hour or two.
But if mine just make it to Valentine's day or someone's birthday, I will be happy. I have a grandson's birthday coming up at the end of January.
Another thought is when some of the grandkids come over and spend the night, they usually watch movies or play games, so there is something in the freezer to snack on. And I don't have to eat it or make something special if I am tired that day.
I have one more jar of Marsmallow creme left and think I will make a choclate fudge and freeze it. This can also be a trial run, if it comes out ok frozen, then next year, I can start a little earlier.
Just because something can be frozen, doesn't mean I will like it after it is thawed. Things have to be really wrapped good.
I know that I have baked Chocolate Chip cookies and also Gingerbread cookies and left them in the deep freeze a long time, because I forgot about them and they were still good. But it is all in the wrapping too! The article said don't freeze frosted cookies.

Will make the Thanksgiving stuff first, probrally a week or two after he comes home so he can get use to eating more then one good meal a day. Then a week or two after that I will make the Christmas stuff.
He is excited about it =)

Yes it will be nice. It is the least I can do for him....he missed 1 Thanksgiving and 2 Christmas's with us in the past 14 months...plus he loves my cooking and baking and some of that is only done once a year....so he will be spoiled this year, lol.

I have a few candy canes from the tree and the kids have candy left in their stockings, but other than that I don't have any holiday food left.
I did get to have a second Christmas dinner this past weekend though. My husband's side of the family held off on their Christmas celebration because they were waiting for his nephew to get home on leave from the navy. They did it so he could see everyone. It was good.

I still have candy canes. When the end of the season comes a lot of the local grocery stores will put the seasonal candy in a cart and sell it really cheap to try to get rid of it. That's when I stalk up so I can have Christmas goodies year round.3dfs9

I still have the full makings for a Christmas dinner in mine. Turkey breast and mince pie in the freezer, makings for casseroles, pies and fudge in the cabinet, along with a canned plum pudding and jar of hard sauce.
You will also find at least 6 cans of cranberries, both whole and jellied, and the candied fruit for this season's fruitcake is in the freezer. Christmas dinner anyone?
