Zim's Elves Themselves were made about 1999 thru at least 2003 or later. I bought quite a few of the Christmas Elves during that time frame. I bought them quite reasonable, most on EBAY or another Christmas Store online..

I just thought I would look on EBAY and see if they had any on 'after Christmas sale'. I was shocked to see two of them listed for 175.00. (that was the asking price, doesn't mean they will sell for that) I think I gave 25.00 and 35.00 for most of mine. But I knew in later years they were going for about 60.00, which was way too much for me. I thought I was over spending for what I gave.

I googled and found out that Zims closed in Nov 2008.

Does anyone else collect these elves? They are about 10 inches tall and look like little old ugly men, but are so cute. I used to set them around my house here and there. This is the 1st year, I did not set them out, as I was running out of time.

They also made other Elves, such as the 'Cellar Elves' etc, which were adorable.

I have leonardo, jean claude, harvey, milton, raymond, seymore, and last but not the least my favorite albert. I love these little guys. I didn't realize they shut down. I thought they were still open. I will have to see about getting the rest of the christmas elves. I love them.

Lightitup, I have been reading some old post about these Zim's elves. They were discontinued in 2008. The Factory went out of business and they could no longer find anyone to make them.

Have you noticed the price of these elves on ebay again this year? They are really going for outrageous asking prices.

Yes they are cute. I have quite a few of them, I only gave 25.00 to 38.00 ea for them and some of them on ebay they are asking over 100.00 to 175.00 ea. I might have to keep and eye on that and sell mine. LOL

Light,
I think you are the only one I know of that has some Elves Themselves. We talked about this a year or so ago. I still have mine. I was looking on ebay and in total shock again this year.

The one with the broom is going for 455.00. Then there were 2 others going for about 305.00 But I looked and they all has the same high bidder, so I guess quite a bidding war going on.

Zim's discontinued them several years ago. Now Whitehurst is selling them as is Amazon and Brookstone. But I think it is the original Zim's from 1999 to 2003 that are going high.

Now if I listed mine, probably no one would bid on them. Darn. My guess is that person is trying to complete their early collection. They have more money than I do!! LOL to think I only gave 25.00 to 38.00 for mine. The person who is selling those high dollar ones, said she got them at an auction, so she is having a nice Christmas present. LOL
