I like the costume that Will Ferrel wore in Elf, maybe you could find a costume store or google where they sell replicas from that.

Besides the tip that Double gave you all i can think off is a patern you buy but do not know where you would do that around your neck of woods. Good luck on finding one...

Have you tried any of the fabric stores in your area? They usually have pattern catalogs with costumes in them maybe they would have what you're looking for there.

The last one I think is just about costumes in general but I saw something about elf shoes. I think if you keep looking you could get some ideas and patterns for the other parts as well.
