What do you do for Halloween? Do you stay inside with the doors locked? Maybe you say inside and hand out treats? Or, do you go out and enjoy the holiday with others? What about the kids?

Unfortunately living out in the country we do not get any trick or treaters except for the two grandsons. With all the trick & trunk events going on in the surrounding towns kids do not do much trick or treating any more. Probably safer that way anyway. At least with the last change of daylight savings time being after Halloween it is still daylight when the kids go out.

Where we live trick or treating is huge, i mean, very, very popular. We'll have trick or treaters up till 10.

Same thing over here Andy. I live out in the country too and never get any trick or treaters, so I always had to go in town.
The past few years Id go to the gf's and hand out candy at her house and then watch the live broadcast of Ghost Hunters for hours, that is a must.

Here it all depends on where in the city you live. Surprisingly, we don't get any...if we're lucky maybe one or two...walk ten minutes down the road and there are lots of kids going door to door.

If you haven`t already looked yet, you should check a few albums from some of members, JollyHelperElf for example really goes all our with decorations.

We don`t get trick or treaters here because we`re at a dead end street. Sometimes I go over to my folks place to see the costumes and we take turns handy out goodies or I`ll head over to the firehall nearby because they deck it out and make it spooky inside and out for the children.

We are allowed to dress up at work, but there are lots of children around so I usually dress in friendly costumes, when I was younger I always dressed in something scary.

My dad was great with make up. It was like we were at Universal Studios. Once my brother and I went out as werewolves and our friend was Frankenstein and my dad did such a great job with our make up that people thought we were wearing masks at first. It was great!

My cat doesn`t like it when I dress up, he gets a bit spooked from me.:h12:

I decorate but it is mostly just for the kids and us.

We don't get very many kids here at all about 2 or 3 but that it is about it. However when my son was 3 months old we use to get 20 to 25 kids, but now everyone goes to the town where they can hit more house's on one street.

This year I haven't put up any decorations and will not buy any treats as my due date is October 29th.

Here's a cool link to one of Jacquie Lawson's works.

She does nice work. I've never bothered to join to send formal e-cards, but sometimes I run across them and share the link without a personal message attached.

The best Halloween I remember was the year we were too old to go out and we decked our house out that some little children were afraid to approach the door.

Dry ice from the Butcher Shop is a must to make your home look foggy.

Yip he looked scared. He stars in a Christmas e-card where he's quite happy.

Sitting around bumming that I can't join anyone for festivities.

I know I know. By now you are all thinking, what a pitiful young woman...no Christmas, no Halloween....I know. Sad isn't it.:f02:

We don't go trick-or-treating as we are out in the middle of the country, so we have pumpkin pie, apple cider and watch "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"

We hand out candy to trick or treaters but we sure do not see as many as when our kids were trick or treating. After we will just turn on the TV and veg out.

As there are no trick or treaters around here, and I won't have the time to do anything Halloweeny myself, I will most likely watch "A Nightmare Before Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"!
