My 8 year old recently joined a local swim team and practices are 3 days a week at 6pm. I figured those would be good days to put something in the slow cooker early in the day and forget about it until dinner time. But my list is very limited right now. Anyone have any ideas?

I made a pot roast last week. Just buy the roast, some veggies, and seasonings. You can buy the little seasoning packets for pot roasts. Throw it all together and put the crockpot on low. Hubby and I don't like cooked carrots, so I made the pot roast with potatoes, corn, and onions. Just make sure you get a roast that doesn't have alot of fat, or trim the fat off. It can get really greasy when the fat melts.

Something real simple for the Crock pot is put a hunk of Pork Loin in there with water... Put whatever favorite spices on-top. I use various cajun spices ... Anyways I've had real good luck with Pork Loin coming out extremely tender and soft.

My family used to have those little smoked cocktail wieners wrapped in bacon and soaking in some kind of sauce with brown sugar in it. Gotta get the recipe!!!

I use the slow cooker for anything and everything! Chicken with cabbage and carrot is always great!
