This is terrible out here in this state...

Plus, I don't know if you guys are aware, but on Halloween, another officer was shot...for no reason. That's five police officers in less than a month. This is just terrible. It's horrible to think that people would do this type of thing.

Here's the news link...

Haven't read the whole thing because I've been immersed in it all day, so if there's anything that shouldn't be seen by everyone, I'm sorry. Don't hesitate to remove link if there's anything wrong with the article.

People all over the place are mourning. Its been on the news all day. Sad thing to happen especially at this time of year...

Another thing...

All four officers left behind spouses and kids....

No police officer is just a police officer, as made evident by this. They all have families, many with kids...this is so saddening.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers...

They caught the guy! Yes!

A police officer shot the suspect this morning. I can post the link if need be. The guy died on the scene. He actually, as it appears, would have killed another cop as well.

Thank goodness he's "caught."

The only thing keeping these families going right now is the outpouring
of love, prayers, flowers etc. that people from here and all over the
US and world are sending right now. In early November a 39
year old officer who was tragically and needlessly executed while serving the
public to make it safe was burried. Most of these officers had young children they left
behind. Many donations are being made to help them and their surviving
parents carry on with not just a lifetime monetary loss but especially the
loss of these brave officers. Our hearts are heavy here in Washington
State but the kind deeds and support from near and far are truly making
a difference to their families. Their families welcome all prayers for them.
They will be having a service for all four on Tuesday, December 8th at the
Tacoma Dome. It is to be televised for the public to be included too.
Our family watched on tv and was moved to tears as people lined the
streets with their hands on their hearts to pay respect as the 4 vehicles
carrying them to the funeral home passed in a procession. Let us pray
that these senseless killings here and in Fort Hood are brought to a halt
and that our prayers for all these families are answered as they move
through a most difficult time ahead.

The police prossesion and memorial service is today. The procession is about 10 miles long with about 3000 cars.

What a hard day up here. Very emotional for everyone up here.

Just a little side note. What I said earlier was wrong, the prossesion was well over ten miles long. So much so that it took over 3 hours for it to finish. The funeral was very hard to watch as well.

This is very interesting, there were about 1000 (yes 1,000) canadian mounted police, about 100 from New York, about 100 from Boston, about 100 from Chicago.

Some people took days to Drive up and be apart of it.

It was impossible to not cry when Officer Richards 3 children ages 16,15
and 10 went up to speak in front of the thousands present and before
their father's flag draped casket to say what a wonderful father he was.
The eulogies for all were so well given and gave everyone a glimpse of
them from childhood through parenthood and how much they will be missed
by their fellow workers. The slide show set to music was very touching.
Such a tragic loss but the outpouring of love and respect and promises to
step in with the families to help them out are a gracious blessing for the
difficult times ahead when the families of these officers will be missing them
the most. Please keep them all in your prayers.

This is such a sad story. It is devistating to think about what those poor families are going through all because this low life slipped through the system. Unbelievable! Why do we read about this kind of stuff daily. Judges need to be replaced.
