He was my inspiration to start decorating all out!
I dont use the big C9's like he did, but went the white Mini light route and went through that electric bill like butter lol.

Nope, that would be a lot of lights to get nicely and neatly.

Parents have come very close to doing this for many years, although we haven't really been able to these last few years. Last year we put up icicle lights, and I carefully strung red lights and green lights in the front bedroom windows. I never took them down- they're doing it themselves. I bought cheap adhesive clasps. The cold window sill didn't help much when I did string them. Surprisingly, they're still up, so I might plug them in this year and fix some of the fallen clasps. But it won't be until either Thanksgiving or Winter Break (I'm in college now! Whoo-hoo!).

I put up a few lights. It won't be much longer and my house will resemble a little of Griswold's house. hahaha
here is a couple of pics of last years lights.

DoubleA remember a couple of years ago people started leaving off a few of there decorations at my house that they didn't want anymore. Well the numbers have really increased on blow molds. Those nutcrackers are 3 foot blow molds not path way lights. I would say at least once a month I will find a decoration on my porch with a note saying I hope you can use this if not please send to the dump. Those nutcrackers came to me that way and the number of them are really growing. Along with the elf blowmolds. Now if someone would just drop off a few angels and choir blow molds. LOL
Last week I came home and there was a flag done out of lights. That is the third one I got so I am doing a patriotic corner in my yard in memory of a couple of guys that were killed in Iraq.

Wow, so creative LIU.
I agree with DA, that's really great that you're dedicating a corner.

Very nice pics lightitup. There is a Griswald house in Davenport, Iowa. We went and saw it last year it was very easy to find once you got on the right street. Oh my god it was bright. Loved it .

Wish I had neighbors that would drop off Christmas decorations at my house lol, I only have 7 blowmolds.
I keep looking for them at yard sales and thrift stores but so far haven't really found any. I have an angel about 20 inches tall made by TPI Plastics in Canada, a 26 inch tall Reindeer made by Empire Plastics, a 26 inch Candy Cane made by Union Products from 1991, 2 Union Products NOEL Candles I think from 1968, a (30 ish) inch Nutcracker made by TPI Plastics in Canada from 1988 and a 40 inch tall Santa Claus with List made by Union Products.
I saw Joseph and Mary at a thrift store a couple of weeks ago for $3.98 each, but Baby Jesus wasn't there so it wouldn't look right if I just got Mary and Joseph so I passed on them. When things like this come in the thrift stores, they usually go as soon as they are put out so you have to be quick.
The Angel and Santa Claus with List I found at a yard sale this past June for $5.00 but the other things I have had for awhile now.
There are a lot of them on eBay, but they want way to much for them and then the shipping is very high too.
