:-D If you start celebrating today, it won't feel as old tomorrow.
:-) Well, you let me know the day after if my premise is correct. Then I can do that when my Birthday rolls around.

:-) Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/AuntieMistletoe/MadHatterTea.gif Quoted Scene from: Alice In Wonderland
"I mean, what is an un-birthday present?"
"A present given when it isn't your birthday, of course."
Alice considered a little. "I like birthday presents best," she said at last.
"You don't know what you're talking about!" cried Humpty Dumpty. "How many days are there in a year?"
"Three hundred and sixty-five," said Alice.
"And how many birthdays have you?"
"One." - Lewis Carroll
:D Happy Un-Birthday today & for tomorrow ~ Happy Celebration of the day you were born!

I can already tell you...you are CORRECT!!!! And thanks!
This afternoon when I got home from work my DH wonderful BF was sitting in the driveway in his truck waiting on me. (I get off work an hour and a half before him and he had beaten me home and I didnt know he was taking off early). As I got out of my car he told me to go inside and change into something more outdoorsy and meet him back outside. So I ran in and threw on some jeans and my sneakers. He then took me to the park we have on the banks of the Arkansas River and pulled up to the playground. I looked at him like he was nuts and he told me since I was so unhappy about this birthday tomorrow to get out there and act like a kid again!!!
I played on the swing, I got in the center of the merry go round and he pushed me and pushed me til I thought I would throw up and he would pass out. I went down all the slides and rolled on the ground and chased our pooch (who was with us) and laughed and laughed...and most importantly...I felt 10 again.
He told me he did this today so I wouldn't dread tomorrow so bad. And now I dont. 8)

:D That sounds like great fun. Yes, even almost getting sick.
I remember those fun times, kicking our shoes off while we were swinging and then leaping to retrieve them to see who could land closest to their shoes. Spinning on the merry-go-round, I always went for the middle if I was standing, but flat on the belly reaching for a stick while it spun around was another challenge that made our stomachs reach the back of our throats.
:) There are some tricks to feeling younger. It took having grandkids for me to go on the world's fastest midway ride though.
:D Tomorrow is "present day". You have that to look forward to.

Thanks #4!!
A few friends of mine up here are bantering back and forth about my age and including me in the emails. Last one Amber told Cindy to quit picking at me, that I can help my age! They are really brightening my day.

Its too late Light, I am thinking Erv has already gotten to him. I think they plotted about the pre-40 thing.
I made the mistake of stopping off at out local mom and pop this afternoon and he had told all my friends that hang out there to call me that. I even had the Frito Lay guy calling me pre-40!!
It has been a good one Penguin. I got my yearly text message from my best buddy, The Mooseman in Vancouver BC just as I was walking in my door this afternoon and I eagerly await that each year. I think after I get the home cooked meal tonite that I was promised by the instigator, I mean BF I will have had one of the best b-days ever!

When you stoop to corrupting the Frito-Lay guy, it's time for payback. When the appropriate time comes, let us know and we'll cook up something really nice.

Please note that the elapsed time between your post and my suggestion was two minutes. I type with three fingers, and I had to read your post first, so I only had a minute to come up with that one. Patience, birthday girl! Or are you afraid time isn't your friend anymore? 8) 8) 8)

Ok now Mr. PeeWee birthday sharing man. Dont make me get theater on your hide!!
I have received 5 more calls plus the up close and personal ones when we ran out to the local dive.
Tom had one of our friends truly believing I was 40 and he commented on how good I looked for my age!!
And here is the cake....grab ya a piece and enjoy at my expense.

I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for all the birthday wishes. I am glad to say I dont feel any older today since this is my first full day of being a year older! (I didnt turn 36 until 2:37 yesterday afternoon)
I am still chuckling over Tom's pre-40th birthday celebrations. I am almost afraid to think of what he is gonna do next year!! LOL!
#4 I do know one thing I am gonna do for his next Thursday, I am gonna announce it on the big marque in town so everyone will know. I plan on putting his cell phone number up there too so they can call!
I love being with someone with a sense of humor!

No, not like you are thinking. We just call it that. It is actually one of those big tall signs like at Wendys or McDonalds except its for the carwash and the bottom of it has a place for those clear snap in letters.
