Yep. Years ago when I was a kid. There was a lot of kids varying in ages from 11-14 that used to hang out together. Dave was really tall for his age, 6ft tall at 14 and did look like an adult from a distance.

It was the summer and we were sitting on his front steps. From the other side of the road a man ran at him and started hitting him. Think it was Daves mum screaming that scared him off. She rang the police who took statements and we were giving a ride round the block in a police car minus the flashing lights.

I'd totally forgotten about that.

Oh yes, I actually got to pet one. My father was a commercial fisherman and we went out to sea for weeks at a time and one time we were surrounded by whales on both sides of our boat. Only on my first trip to a tree farm. After that, I realized that no tree is physically perfect. From then on I went thinking of how the Christmas decorations would mask the flaws.

Yes!! Years ago at my inlaws house for Christmas eve we were at the table eating and my sister in law announced she was getting married and my father in law got up out of his chair and went to his room and stayed there the rest of the night. Christmas morning we went over and he still would not come out of his room. He could not stand the guy she was going to marry. They planned the wedding, bought the dress,and other things and then they called the wedding off. They both ended up marrying someone else!
