Opened in 1994 for Disney
Starring Tim Allen & David Krumholtz.

Plot Summary: Scott Calvin has visitation rights with his son Calvin on Christmas Eve, there Scott reads "The Night Before Christmas"...and receives an unexpected visitor on his roof. When he's startled by Scott's calling out and falls, the Santa impersonator disappears, leaving only an 8-reindeer sleigh and a Santa suit with a card full of instructions to put it on if he's involved in an accident. Scott does, and is transported around the town dropping gifts through chimneys until he's taken to the North Pole and informed by a group who claim they're elves that he is now Santa Claus. Charlie is proud of his dad's new job, though Scott's convinced it's a dream. Until his hair turns white, his beard refuses to stay shaved, he gains weight inexplicably, even for his sudden love of cookies .Now he's accepted it, there's just one problem: how to keep it secret from his disbelieving family and to keep his son?

One of our newer classics, 2 candy canes up!

I would have liked to seen this as a made for tv Christmas special, I do like Tim Allen better in movies than his tv show.

This may be my favorite. I usually watch it three or four times a year, but this summer has been so crazy that I haven't even thought about it till now. This one has the magic that is missing from not only it's sequels but from many Christmas movies.

   Good Christmas movie!
Tim Allen is great and the sets are incredible. Who would not want, if given the chance, an opportunity to ride in Santa's sleigh?

I get a good chuckle at this movie, we had an Elf show the director around the North Pole when I was away so they could get a few ideas on how to portray the Winter Wonderland. I watch it every year.

This is, I think, my favorite of the ones that have come out the last few years. It'll become a classic for me.
