It depends on how hectic things are. We'd love to put it up right after Thanksgiving dinner, but I'm usually up to my elbows in dishwater and the wife is snoring on the couch, or is that the other way round?

I usually put my trees up last but this year I think I might put them up the week before Thanksgiving. I used to be able to take the whole week after Thanksgiving off from work but this year I can only get 2 days off due to month end.:c53:

Which Tree? LOL!
The main tree will go up Thanksgiving night. The 4 ft tree in the dining up goes up sometime during thanksgiving week. The trees in the family room and in our room will go up thanksgiving weekend. The kids have a 2 1/2 foot tree for their bedroom and our daughter starts asking to put it up right after halloween. I expect the same this year so I am sure it will up sometime between halloween and thanksgiving.

If I am not hosting a Thanksgiving dinner then I put the tree up the week-end before Thanksgiving. If there is a Thanksgiving function at my house then I wait until after Thanksgiving. I try to keep a seperation between the 2 holidays.

It is really starting to look like Christmas around here. I can't wait till the village goes up. A few more decorations on the tree and on to the village. Have to wait for my daughter comes for the biggest tree so she can help decorate it as they won't have one this year. They will be moving into there new home around Christmas.:c10:

Looks like we will have our living room tree up by Thanksgiving weekend. The neighborhood moveable feast is on December 1st and the house, trees and outside needs to be done before November 25th.

I help with MIL's tree after Thanksgiving breakfast & my mom's tree after Thanksgiving dinner. Before having a child, our tree went up Black Friday or Saturday at the latest. Now it's Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving. The year I was pregnant, it didn't go up until the 2nd week of December and didn't come down until mid-January!! The year my family had Thanksgiving at my house, the tree was up before Thanksgiving for all to see.

Here in Holland, people usually wait until after Sinterklaas (Dec.5th) to put up the Christmas tree. But, they keep it up until mid-January. (I keep mine up longer!)
As I will be in the states for Thanksgiving but not for Christmas this year, I will be helping with my mom's decorations and tree - I imagine Thanksgiving weekend.

Our tree usually goes up with the decorations during the last 2 weeks of November, sometimes start of December at the latest. This year I'm guessing the decorations (and tree) with go up on the 24th November.
But I've spotted some tiny trees in a Christmas shop near where I live. I'm itching to buy one which will go up in my room as soon as I get it (maybe some time this week :-D)

My tree goes up on Thanksgiving Friday NO MATTER WHAT! I also put up a real tree every year, no matter what. It dries out pretty fast here in Florida, but I don't care! I just HAVE to have a real tree. I usually leave it up until just after New Year's.

l have 3 xmas trees(l think!LOL)my real one which is usually a lovely dark green fir goes up about a week or 10 days before xmas as it will be in our front room and will start dropping its needles if we put it up much before. l have one on the landing-an artificail one which usually goes up 2nd week in Nov, then l have one out by the front door which l put lights on and that will go up a couple of weeks before xmas, OH and l also have a fibre optic one which goes up whenever l like-maybe in a couple of weeks!LOL Wonder who puts up the most trees on here? l put 4 up.

Since I'm having a biz open house Nov 14th, I'm planning to have the tree up by then. It will be the earliest ever. But my daughter and family will be here for Thanksgiving and won't see them for Christmas, so thinking it's a good idea to do early this year.

Our main tree, the 7 ft prelit tree is up I'm happy to say. Sonny assembled and put it up last night. Since I had to work today and too tired to decorate, I'll tackle this tomorrow when I get off work which should be an early day hopefully. Since I keep two decorative trees up throughout the year, they're done but just moving them around into bedrooms. .but still need to get our lanai tree up.
