Let me just say you had me at cheeseball! Now let me go read your post.
Ok, that is a definite do! Goldie, we will be having this at Christmas. But I think I need to taste test it first!!

I'd have to leave out the garlic, several family members can't do garlic. Looks like a great recipe!

It sounds good to me!! You only want to taste test it so you can eat it all before anyone else gets any!!! :-o

Well I had that recipe a couple of years (from a co worker) before I ever tried it. The only reason I tried it was to use up leftover cheeses etc. I think I even used the mild shredded cheddar. And my family really liked it!
Christy Carol
09-15-2007, 10:05 PM
Ok, there will be no deer meat in the cheeseball.
And Erv, no garlic? What is up with those folks? I put garlic in everything I cook!
And yes sis, I plan on taste testing it over and over until there is nothing left. And then I will make another!! :]:

Oh, but I will leave off the nuts. I dont do nuts and cheese like that. Maybe roll mine in chili powder or crushed crackers.

cheese balls are a good way to get rid of all those leftover packages of cheese in the back of the frig

That sounds easy enough. Perhaps I'll try that this weekend. There wouldn't be any after effects, would there?

You can make them healthy. Use turkey sausage and 2% cheese!
Ervserver
10-16-2007, 09:13 PM
True but I'll likely use real cheese and 1lb of Jimmy Dean. I have to make a bunch of hors devours for a party at Kim's work. I think these would be a hit
Christy Carol
10-16-2007, 09:21 PM
I will too.
In fact I am gonna make them for our Halloween potluck at work. They are always a hit everytime I see them at a function so I thought I would give them a go myself.

Erv...how did you come to know me so well..haha...I will make the lite version as suggesed by Christy. I doctor up so many yummy recipes I see on Paula Deen. If I followed her recipes with all that butter and sugar I'd be gaining weight as I see she is doing on a daily basis...plus all that fat and sugar makes me feel tired after eating it. I have an aversion to it all.
Fresh herbs and spices make up for the butter and you don't even miss it after a while.
BTW...I am thinking about becoming a vegetarian...was talking to a girl at work today who just switched to plant foods only. She has not only lost weight but her skin looks phemonenal.:g30:

How come I can't see Christy's original message with the recipe? It's blank except for the subject line.

Strange, it still shows on my end. Maybe empty your cache and refresh your screen and see if it shows. Maybe she used a super secret font

If I switch back to the Noel theme, it shows up, but not in ChristmasFixed. I cleaned out my cache (usually the wife's job) and refreshed, which logged me out, and still can't see it with the red theme.

OK, I highlighted her post by dragging across the text and it is all there, but somehow invisible otherwise. Very odd, like her font color was the same as the background, which for me is gray.
I changed the color of her post and now I can see it. Did I ruin it for anyone?
