1 (1 ounce envelope) Ranch SALAD DRESSING mix
2 Tablespoons dried whole Dill WEED
6 cups corn and rice chex cereal
1 (10 ounce) package small oyster crackers
1 (6.5) ounce pkg small pretzels ( I use about 1/2 bag of the 16 oz size) thin pretzels
3/4 cup vegetable oil

Combine salad dressing mix and dill weed in small bowl. Add vegetable oil and wisk until mixed. Set aside.

In large bowl, mix the cereal, I used 3 cups of corn chex and 3 cups rice chex. Add the oyster crackers and pretzels. Mix up good.

Drizzle the herb and oil mixture over the cereal mixture and toss. Then empty entire bowl into a large brown grocery sack. Fold to close and let stand 2 hours. Shake bag occasionally. Store mixture in airtight container. Yield 16 cups.

This sounds like a nice twist on the usual mix, though I have always loved that as well.

My family prefers this over the regular one. I think I got this recipe from Southern Living about 25 years ago, when I first started taking the magazine.
