Christmas Gift Baskets
I always make gift baskets for certain people I deal with through out the year and this is there christmas presents.
I'm already planning this years baskets, purchased some stuff on sale during the boxing day sales last year and have them stored away.
These are the type of things that I put in and am wondering if anyone has any other ideas.
Wine
Christmas crackers
something for the kitchen
chistmas ornament
toblerone
if there are kids in the family something there as well.
Any how those are just a few items but I need more new items.

When ever I do a wine and crackers basket I add a corkscrew, wine glasses and cheese. I don't know why I add the cheese but I know I like cheese with crackers and wine. Maybe a couple of Christmassy napkins. A scented candle is nice too. I hope this helps.

Now is the time to get the things for a garden gift basket. Gloves, flower bulbs that needs to be planted now and some tools for the flower bed. Most of this stuff is on clearance now. I use a flower pot for my basket. Add some potting soil to do a indoor plant. Have fun with it. Now is when I am out in the garden separating my flower bulbs so I send some of them in a small glass planter too. Especially daffodils and paper whites. You can force them for the holidays and put them in the ground for spring.

I also have a lot of gardening friends and I make gift baskets for some of them. Right now many places have gardening items for 50 - 75 percent off. I use the window planters, and place a bag of soil, miracle grow, a hand shovel, gloves, seeds and/or bulbs and what ever else I can find that goes with the theme.
I also like to give movie baskets with the basket being a popcorn bowl, popcorn, movie or two, popcorn seasonings, some of those water flavors, and things you can find at the movies.
I also make a hot cocoa basket, I make my hot cocoa mix and put it into a jar that I decorate, add a couple mugs, some small loves of bread with cheeses and meats, crackers, chocolates and marshmallows for smores.
I bought some baskets from Joanns last year that were round and had lids on them and on the lid was a recipe for pumpkin pies and this year I will give them with a pumpkin pie wrapped in a pretty kitchen towel or the makings for the pie. It depends on if I see them at the time the pies are fresh or a head of time.
The ideas are endless. I love giving baskets.

I love giving baskets too Rennabelle.
I made one last year for a friend that decorates her yard a little and she loved it. I took a wire framed trash can and ran some battery operated mini led lights thru the wire mesh. Inside I lined the basket with some silver lame` and put mini light black out bulb covers, a light tester, some clips to hold lights on a small wire frame star, two boxes of clear mini lights, instructions to put together the star with the fabric and lights. I also added a couple of ornaments and a mug with a few packs of hot cocoa mix.

Thanks Light, that is a cool idea, I will have to remember that one. I have a friend that loves decorating almost as much as I do. She would love that basket.

I am working on a basket for the same friend this year. I have a outdoor little girl ceramic sitting on a bench and she is holding a basket. I have put a pack of snowball lights in the basket with some greenery and cute little snowmen. I think that would look great in her flower bed. I have one on my porch and she loves it.
