we broke a 60 year record here today, it was -30C without taking windchill into effect. (-22 F according to a conversion program on the web)

Stay safe in those extreme cold temps...
I wish it would stop raining here and feel more like winter. (not so extremely cold, though, thanks!)

You are soooo right CindyLouwho, emergency kits or even a few important
items such as bottled water, food, blankets, flashlight, flares, medicines,
would be a smart move to keep in the trunk of our cars as well as a change
of clothes etc. You lucky people living in Australia or Florida or the
warmer temps just need the water and a few warmer weather safety
items!

It snowed last night here Dec 4th.
We are 75-90 miles from the Gulf of Mexico straight up Hwy 49. My oldest Twin daughter was anouher 90 miles north in Jackson at the State Championship football game. I watched it on tv and by 9pm the field was getting covered. By the begining of the next play you could not see the tracks from the last play. Sorry but we are South Mississippi we do Hurricanes well; but snow is fasanating. I moved here from central Alabama. I enjoy snow.

Thats why I moved from the south to the north in the tropics as I couldn't stand the cold(freezing Temperatures) any more, only have to worry about cyclones......I don' t miss the cold one bit.....

We've had snow and it's been really frigid out you don't want to stay out to long.

I would enjoy a bit of cool weather right now...but I'm not talking about sub zero temps believe me. I remember those days and don't wish to go back to shoveling snow and scrapping off the windshield of my car to get to work. Oh no...don't even want to remember those days driving through ice and snow to work. I may complain about the heat but I am a whimp and will take the sun and heat instead...
