Yes I am already planning for next Christmas. Making notes of what needs replaced etc. Also I have used the following website a couple of years ago and just revisited it. It has a lot of good info

My planning so far consists of getting my cards out earlier.
My Christmas talk ones, as soon as the list is emailed to me. So whoever is doing the 2011 exchange add my details.
My other overseas cards mid-late November, and the rest of my cards by the end of November.
Other cards that can be given to friends, workmates & neighbours all done by mid-December

Well I have decided to expand my light display for 2011. We are going from 85,000 lights to 200,000 lights. We are adding a double ferris wheel. We finished the train area this year so next year we are building a Carousel of lights. Would like to do a teter totter too. I have lots of ideas and it will be fun to see if it happens.

Reading through all sorts of magazines I've pulled out all interesting pages with decorations and crafts which I will now put together in a binder ready for next year.
I already bought a bunch of cute Christmas cards. They were on sale too. This way I can write them in plenty of time.
I've even picked out some knic knacks to send with my ornaments and some for the advent calendar exchange too.
But for now I'm mostly still enjoying Christmas 2010 !

for 2011. It will be my girlfriend and my first Christmas in our house, so we have a lot to do.
We'll have Christmas at our house for our families, so we'll plan a dinner and stuff.
We're also going to have a NYE party next year as well.
Hannah (my girlfriend) went to Walgreens on Sunday, and saw some lighted reindeer, so she got a few, they were 50% off!

This year Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve nor Christmas Day will be celebrated at my house. My sister and her daughters have decided to give me a break and allow me to come and put my feet under their table for a change. However, I will have friends over during the season as well as the neighborhood Moveable Feast. So...since Santa Claus is not bring gifts for the children to my house I am considering a more adult decoratiing theme. Hummm....the possibilities

Wow, that's a lot of lights. My house isn't big enough for that many lights nor would my power be strong enough.
I'm still working on my 2010 scrapbook, finally !! And after that I'll start planning 2011.

I still have some lights to take down from last christmas as the snow is now melting and I can do that. Then I have to clean out the garden shed in order to put them away. However my lights don't change much but I have already started buying presents and decided when I am going to start my baking for the christmas season.

Last Christmas I started extra early and I have to admit it was very pleasant not to have to rush with anything. I could really enjoy the season. I hope I can do the same this year but I can never plan that far ahead.

I am hoping to get a day off with no kids around me so I can go thru everything that I have already bought and get it written down in my book if it isn't already there.

Favorite Decorations
I just started with my decoration shopping for this Xmas during my summer vacation in good old Germany!!!
We'd spend a few days in the German Black Forest where I discovered these cute Nut crackers - my favorites for Xmas 2011 so far!!!

Good to hear you are shopping for decoration already. And what better place to do so than during your vacation in the black forest.
Welcome to the family and keep us posted!
