Holiday Inn #74-It's the Start of the Season

Happy Start of the Season everyone! Time to put away Halloween and get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't wait to have some pumpkin pie.

Anybody gonna watch Macy's this year? I'm debating about it. The last couple of years it's been kind of disappointing.

Well my Thanksgiving has come and gone so now onto Christmas it is for me. The Toronto Santa Claus Parade is on November 20th and I have to work that day so I won't be watching it on tv like I normally do, but they do play it again in December so I hope to catch that one.

I know it's just not Thanksgiving without the parade. My hubby thought about not having turkey this year, but I presented it to the committee and it got vetoed. The kids said it's not Thanksgiving without the turkey. So I'll be making a small turkey with all the fixins this year. Meat stuffing, bread stuffing, potatoes, butternut squash, holiday rolls, cranberry sauce, cranberry relish, and pies.

I sure do miss watching the Macy's parade. Whenever I am in the states, I make sure I get up early to see it, though...although it's not often that that happens.
This year I have to miss out on the traditional dinner, too. Oh well...I'll try to make up for it with my Christmas dinner.

Usually have the Macy's parade on, but not planning on seeing it this year, will be traveling to DD2 over the Holiday, so I don't think the tv. will be on.

We watched the parade, I was disappointed in how much lip syncing was going on this year. The only group that didn't lip sync anything was the Naval Academy Glee Club. Even Straight No Chaser was lip syncing. I did like watching the marching bands play though.
